On the heels of the forced ouster of Mozilla CEO, Brendan Eich, over his personal views on marriage and his support for proposition 8 in California, comes the cancellation of the Benham Brothers’ “Flip It Forward” show on HGTV. The reason: their past support for traditional marriage, being pro-life, and living by Bible principles. As is the case much of the time, the Benham’s are being falsely accused of “hating” gays or others that choose an unnatural lifestyle. And is often the case, these men are not motivated by hatred at all, but rather by the love a Holy God and obedience to His Word.
This is yet more mounting evidence of the militant left and their calculated attack on anything Christian, Biblical, or moral. The so-called “Tolerant” are completely intolerant of a worldview other than their own. For example, while there are countless businesses that provide bakery, photography, and other services so a consumer can pick and choose where to spend their money, there is a portion of the LGBT community that is purposefully targeting, baiting, and trapping Christian business owners with the end goal of driving them out of business with character assignation, boycotts, and litigation. It seems anything branded as Christian, including churches, is fair game in this growing war for the soul of America.
With much of the movie and television programming today already promoting, endorsing, and putting the LGBT lifestyle in a favorable light, how have we moved so far away from our moral conscience, self-control, and a desire to please The Creator? That a morally wholesome, encouraging, and charity-based program would be cancelled for it’s Christian-based values? Our Founding Fathers must be turning in their graves. And as the Benham Brother’s alluded to in their statement, “you would think there would be room for two twin brothers who are faithful to our families, committed to biblical principles, and dedicated professionals.” One would think indeed.
